A good RPG game for the PC that's not a MMO?

I was wondering if there was something similar to the game Aion(14.99$ a month, not paying for that.) or fable for the PC, and I don't want to pay a overpriced monthly subscription for a online game. Anyone know of such a game or know where I could look for one?
