Should I risk my dress?

The slime stuff will be water soluble so as long as you can wash your dress (gentle cycle or hand wash probably) then you'll be fine. The important thing is that you both have fun. The dress will wash out and be fine, but you could miss out on a potentially great, fun night if you don't go for it.
