How to make a move while making out?!?

Me ans my boyfriend usually make out on his bed, and both of us are always laying sideways whn we make out. but i wanna make thing more interesting and get on top of him, im just not sure how to make the transition without making it totally awkard, any advice or help i appreciate, and no he wont care
