Smartmedia card...mikomi reader..?

i use a boss br532 2 record music.the smartmedia card was working fine recording and all.i purchased a mikomi 54 in 1 card reader to transfer songs to pc.when i put the card in the reader and tried 2 open the folder it said "no disk inserted" after several attempts 2 try again i gave up.when i took it home and put it in my br532 it said unsupported card.so its just useless now.i then tried a 32mb card in the reader and it worked fine!so im confused.what could have happened to the 128mb card?could it have been damaged by card reader?i just bought it and dont want 2 hav 2 go straight out and buy another card.should i complain to mikomi or argos?i jst dont know where i stand.thanks for your help x
