Should I adopt 2 or 3 male rats?

I will be adopting 2-3 rat siblings once I receive my Critter Nation in the mail. For those of you who have owned rats for some time, do you recommend getting 2 or 3? I want to adopt boys for their cuddly and squishy nature. I am aware of all the issues that come with having males (hormonal squabbles, etc..) Thanks :)
