Where is the best snowboarding fun for college students?

Ok so im a junior in high school and next year i need to apply to colleges and my main concern is finding a good mountain. I'm a big snowboard fan and love to do it. And my family isn't big on traveling so the only mountain I've been on is kinda crap and i figure college is the perfect chance to check out some new stuff. I need to find a good college with good biology program with a concentration in computational biology that's close enough for a trip to the mountain for some winter sport fun. Im currently looking into University of Colorado - Boulder and University of Vermont to see if they fit the criteria. If you know of any other colleges please share and if there are any places in the USA that offer year round snowboarding due to the altitude please tell me because I'm dying to know.
