Are Americans so gullible to even consider Sarah Palin as the leader of the Republican Party?

It seems as though they are making her out to be a leader of the GOP. I am a Republican but I don't see her as even deserving of the mention of "leader" of the Gop. She hasn't proven anything as of yet and doesn't know the stuff to even be considered.
